Selling my Rolex Air-King ref 5500 with box and papers and in very good condition.
Serial number dates this watch to 1989, which was the final year of production for this reference. Warranty papers are dated November 1990.
Watch was last serviced at RSC in 2015 and includes now-expired service warranty card. I suspect the dial was replaced at this time as it shows no signs of age, but can’t confirm as this was before my ownership.
Watch winds and keeps time as it should, although obviously not to the same level of accuracy or smoothness of a modern rolex. Bracelet is in excellent condition with no stretch to speak of and clasp has only faint swirls. Acrylic crystal is in good shape, case and bezel have visible swirls and flea bites which I’ve tried to capture in close-up photos. Case back still has sticker on it from service and no scratches on back of lugs.
I’m looking for $4,850 and am open to trade offers. If you happened to have a 114270 that would be of particular interest. Located in Toronto and prefer F2F but willing to ship at additional cost.
I’m not a frequent buyer or seller but have a couple of references on here and also some history on WUS under the same username.
