Today I have for sale a Tudor Black Bay Bronze watch with a slate dial in very good condition. I am the second owner, buying it in September 2020 when it was only a few days old, so it is still covered under Tudor’s five-year warranty. It comes as a complete kit with boxes and paperwork. I have had absolutely no issues with this watch, and the case back has never been opened.

It has the MT5601 (COSC) in-house movement with a 70 hour power reserve. Since new, it has always run consistently at +1s a day. The sapphire crystal makes for perfect viewing of the slate grey dial. It has luminous indices and hands, making it very easy to tell the time anywhere. This is a no date watch.

This is the larger size Tudor Black Bay Bronze with a 43 mm case, 14.3 mm thick, 23 mm lug width, 200 metres of water resistance, drilled lugs, with the Tudor rose engraved on the crown. It comes on the barely used Tudor Nubuck black leather strap with bronze buckle. This watch wears well, fitting under jackets, but also works great for those casual days around the beach or pool.

The bronze case has patinated to a lovely colour. The Tudor buckle has patinated the same as the case. Should you want the watch and buckle back to the original finish, there are lots of YouTube videos showing how it is done. The case back is not bronze, so it is of a slightly different hue, but this is how Tudor makes them.

The condition is very good. To my aging eyes, there are a few light marks on the case, only seen at certain angles, but the bronze seems very forgiving to use-wear. I am a bit ham-fisted during strap changes so even with the drilled lugs, assume there are scars on the underside.

I found the original strap a bit too short, so I purchased a 23 mm hand-made Terrycrafted leather strap (retail was about $175 when new) that is very similar in colour to the Tudor strap, This strap is included with the watch.

The watch currently retails for $5650 plus taxes at dealers in Canada.

I’m asking $3500 for this watch with the additional strap, plus shipping via Flagship to your doorstop. F2F for local pickup is always welcome.

Save yourself the time it takes for a bronze watch to patinate and buy this one now! : )
