Hello everyone.
I haven't had enough time to enjoy this near mint offering of a 1990 Tudor Submariner and love it, but have to make room for something else in the collection that has just come up.
This watch presents exceptionally well and wears similar to a 39mm so don't be fooled by the 36mm measurement, it has wrist presence!
It comes with box, Tudor service card as well as the Anchor.
The condition if this watch is immaculate, especially considering it's age. It was likely polished at some point in the past - I am not the original owner - however, IF it had a polish, it must have been light as the watch retains its lines and presents beautifully.
The watch features:
- Bi-directional bezel - perfect condition
- Sapphire crystal - perfect condition
- The case is a rolex oyster case with the caseback being stamped "Original oyster case by Rolex Geneva"
- The crown is also Rolex branded and screws down as any proper diver should
- The dial is in pristine condition, the lume has turned a beautiful cream colour and as expected on a watch of this age, no longer illuminates.
- The bracelet I believe to be fully linked and will fit a 7 inch wrist comfortably. It is in amazing shape with very light stretch and extremely light swirls that can only be seen at certain angles. Finally, the clasp is nearly perfect with extremely fine marks visible at certain angles.
I have tried to capture the condition of this watch in the pictures as acurately as possible. It truly is a beautiful piece and has been exceptionally well cared for over the years.
As such, I believe it is fair to ask $7000 for this Rolex branded Tudor Sub.
