July 2018 watch, picked up by fellow CWC member directly from UNDONE in Hong Kong.
Mint watch, Seiko Mecha-Quartz movement. I purchased it from the original owner with the idea of evaluating the movement
and it is as good as all the You Tube reviews state it is.
Besides the movement, my humble impression of UNDONE is above expectations - fit and finish remind me of Seiko in a sense that
the watch quality looks like it belongs in the next higher price bracket.
This particular watch is the middle dial of the 3 dials available in the Tropic range:
- Amazon (not aged)
- Caribbean (mildly aged)
- Sahara (highly aged)
This watch has a secret personality - it fits as dimensions would suggest, however, it has bigger wrist presence
because of few very smart design features:
- case size is 40mm with 47.6mm lug to lug; and it fits that way
- but becasue the bezel is 41.5mm (see photos), when you look down at your wrist it seems larger
- very comfortable on the wrist due to compact lug-to-lug size and lug angle and light weight
So if you have smaller wrists and 40mm size is your top limit, give this watch a try.
Includes watch on the original racing style leather strap with quick releases, as well as extra pair of springbars and
20mm premium seatbelt bond nato from Strap Mill Canada that was properly modified into single pass to reduce the watch height on the wrist.
