Looking to move something i never thought i would. but im sure you guys all know the feeling, something else catches your fancy and you got to make some cuts.

anyways, the watch im looking to move is my Vintage Speedmaster 145.022-78. features the fantastic 861 movement thats really imo the best of both worlds. More charming than the current modern 1861 movement, but also not the original 321 that is near impossible (not to mention expensive) to service. after consulting my vintage aficionado friend he determined it should be from 1978 through the serial. pretty easy to get a extract from omega if you want. when i purchased this i also had an omega service Center authenticate this. I also had omega open up the caseback last week or so to let me take a look and determine the age.

condition of the watch is excellent. case is unpolished and looks like its barely been worn. original polish is all there, really really clean case on this guy. no gouges or anything deep especially not on the sides. original crystal with omega imprint. Crystal is in great codnition, no cracks or deep scratches and gouges. The hands should have been replaced by service hands. if it was replaced, it mustve been quite early because the minute hand is starting to patina (or only the hour hand was replaced). doing the lume test the hour hand is the one that’s shining more than the others. the dial is aging beautifully and is original. you can tell by the extra loopy S it’s original and from that era. the circular imprinted sunken subdials on this one is fantastic. original bezel with no tachy accent. you can see how nice condition this guy is in by the clean bezel print. not to mention if you look at vintage examples of these, usually the bezel is chewed up. This is especially the case on the raised edges of the bezel, this one is sharp.

movement was serviced in 2012 when i got it. Just took it to my local watchmaker and he did a quick look. said it doesn’t need service quite yet and is still running strong. granted it is vintage so my expectations arent as high as say, for my ceramic gmt Master ii which is around 0.5 seconds a day. I have also sporadically worn this so it’s in fantastic condition. I would just wind it and wear it around the house every few days.

comes on a hodinkee strap in an omega red pill service case.

looking to get $4750 out of this guy. payment by paypal is ok if we split fees. I’ll pay for overnight insured parcel pro shipping. i haven’t included the movement pic that i took last week to protect the serial. for serious buyers i am more than open to sending that via pm.

Not the best photographer, but I tried to take them in natural but not direct lighting. Let me know if you want any other photos!
