Hey CWC,

Here's a rare watch I've been meaning to have restored but am now on my way to a grail purchase so need to let it go.

I recieved this watch as payment for some work I had done while living in the UK. It has literally sat in my safe deposit box for about 4 years as I never found time or the funds to put into it. It needs to find someone who wants to enjoy it for what it is: an ultra cool vintage diver!

I don't know much about these watches except that they are a rare example of one of Omega's first diving watches.

The condition is fair with its share of marks, as to be expected from a watch from the early 70s. I'm not sure if it's all original but it seems to be.

Things to note:

1 The bi-directional bezel shows marks and slight cracking on the one side. Almost looks like it's bubbled in one small area at the 6 and 7 mins mark. The bezel comes off of the watch easily and rotates very easily as well. (I just may not be securing it properly myself)

2 The crystal is in basically mint condition which makes me question whether it's original?

3 The dial is in nice shape though some of the markers are starting to fade. There is a small mark on the far right edge past the seconds markers that looks like it may have been touched up with paint by a watchmaker? Hard to see and photograph but seems a bit darker from the rest of it. The hands match the dial and seem to be in good shape.

4 The bracelet shows some "stretch", will fit up to a 7.5 inch wrist, fully extended and the second link back on the 12 o'clock side shows some deformation. The clasp functions just as it should.

5 The movement winds and sets. The date functions properly as well but I do not know the service history and would highly recommend a service.

For these 5 reasons I'm giving the potential new owner a week to have it looked at and decide whether they'd like to finalize the purchase. If it's not what you're looking for, send it back to me for a full refund minus shipping, no questions asked. I've had a lot of transactions on here so deal with confidence. Please refer to my feedback. Any questions, I'm happy to answer what I can.

Not sure how to price this, but judging by other listings I've seen I'll start at $3000 or the best reasonable offer.

Ultra rare diver here! I got a better shot of the dial and bezel for reference to any anomolies. What's amazing is I don't think this watch was ever relumed in its 45 years of life and yet will still glow for about 10 seconds before going dark.
The lume in the bezel, dial and hands all match.
The case is 38.5mm which I forgot to point out earlier as well. So, quite large for its era.
