Here for sale is a Rolex Date Ref 1505, with two-tone Rolex bracelet. Bought here on CWC some years ago.
THE GOOD:
Serial number is 2.6 million, dates it to circa 1969.
Champagne T Swiss T dial may be a 1970s replacement by an early owner. You could call this dial a semi-wide boy. The datewheel has open 6s and 9s, correct for this vintage period.
Bracelet reference is 78350, Z3 dates it to 1997. Good condition with very little stretch. 457B endlinks. No doubt it has been polished, but lots of life left on the clasp crown.
Cal 1570 movement, a workhorse. Keeping good time.
THE NOT SO GOOD:
Bracelet has 11 links, so short a couple.
Date starts turning over at midnight, but takes a couple of hours to get centred in the date window. Not quickset.
