For sale is my Archimede Klassik 42 in good worn condition. This is the earlier variant that came with an ETA Cal. 2824-2 ticking away inside. This version of the watch is now discontinued and was replaced by a watch with (in my opinion) a lesser Citizen Cal. 9015 inside.

Photos, along with descriptions highlighting details of note, can be found here: https://imgur.com/a/3JDvV

This model has a silver sunburst dial with (chemically, I think) blued hands.

Here is a link to the current-generation of the same model for sale on Archimede’s website: https://www.archimede-watches.com/klassik-42-silver-dial-brown-leather-strap.html

I am selling this watch to help subsidize a recent purchase and because this one has dropped out of the rotation since I acquired an Explorer I last year… it has been sitting in my watch box for over a year now.

Reference : 19.24 (I believe that is the case reference - it is located between the lugs… feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on this)

Case Material : Stainless steel case

Size: 42mm excluding the crown and 51mm lug-to-lug

Lug Width: 20mm

Glass : Sapphire Crystal in flawless condition

Movement : ETA 2824-2

No box or papers are included in the sale. The watch will be shipped in foam-lined protective case. Please note that the leather strap you see in pictures is not included in the sale - sorry, I like it too much ;-)

I am the second owner of the watch. I bought it from the original owner, a fellow collector here in Canada.

My price is $425 CAD OBO net to me. I am always open to offers, so please do get in touch if you are interested. No trades at this time as I’ve already purchased a new watch.

Payment to be made via PayPal (as outlined above) or Interac E-mail transfer.

The watch is located in Guelph, Ontario. Shipping is to be made via Canada Post using their available insurance coverage, at the buyer's expense. Once you have provided me with your address, I will obtain a shipping quote for you and communicate it to you prior to payment.

A face to face sale in the GTA is always welcome. I regularly drive all around SWO for business, so a meet-up anywhere from London, Ontario to Toronto is arrangeable, with reasonable notice.

I am a private collector and will amend the post to OHPF after getting the first PM saying "I will buy this watch now at your price".

Condition Notes:
The pictures above are the best part of the description. I have tried to highlight any marks of note, however feel free to ask for special details or angles you want to see better prior to buying.

I would describe the exterior of the watch as being in generally good condition with normal signs of wear. Issues of note include some scuffs and small fleabites on the bottom left lug (see pictures) and a small ding on the bezel at 2:00 plus some light scuffs closer to 4:00. On the wrist, the watch looks great.

The watch runs and keeps good time - I am in the process of timing it and should have a better idea for any buyer later today.

Service history is unknown and, since the watch could be as old a five years, a service is in order, which is why I have tried to price the watch to reflect the need for a service in the near future. As such, I make no guarantee of the condition, accuracy or performance of the movement.

As most will know, the 2824 movement is easily serviced by any competent watchmaker. Please factor a service into your consideration prior to making me an offer.

No returns unless the watch is materially different from how it has been described above.

Withdrawn. The watch keeps time within ETA specs but while timing it on the wrist yesterday I noticed a slight unexplained “tink” noise when the watch is shaken... not therefore comfortable selling it until I’ve had a watchmaker take a look.
