Offered for sale is this fine example of the iconic Hamilton Piping Rock in 14K white gold from 1928.

Included is a small Hamilton watch box from the same era, however I have no proof that it was the original Piping Rock box (PM if interested in seeing pictures of said box, should this matter to you).

Eric Wind wrote this on the Piping Rock: "Many Hamilton watch collectors believe that the Piping Rock is the pinnacle of the company's watch-making and design. Some even consider the Piping Rock to be the quintessential American wristwatch." The only 1920s Piping Rock I could find on Chrono24 that was priced lower has touched up / incorrect colour hands, and the next comp after that is at $2,627 CAD plus duties, with several other comps at $2,800 and $3,200+++ plus taxes. I heard you liked vintage, so I listed some vintage for your vintage. :)

According to my references, the MSRP on this Hamilton Piping Rock was $125 USD in 1928, which in today’s money is about $1855 USD, which is about $2500 CAD. Yours for $2,000 CAD OBRO on CWC!

Gentle bump. Own a piece of Hamilton Watch Co history!

Sometimes, when it's quiet at night, I open up the back of this watch and run my fingers along the buttery smooth côtes de Genève finishing work on the movement, thinking about what the roaring 20s could have been like, and what it must have felt like to own and wear this watch during those times. Ahhhhh :)
