Up for sale is a Grand Seiko SBGR057, a GS that's more suitable for daily wear than usual. More brushed surfaces (even the bezel!), and a fully brushed bracelet makes this an easier-wearing watch than even a Datejust or Aqua Terra.
Card unnamed, dated March 2018. A couple small fleabites, one on the bezel, and one on a lug edge. There's also some very minor surface scratches, but hardly noticeable at all. This thing looks mint. Box and papers included.
The inky black dial looks wet at all times. The date window is framed and finished to absolute perfection, and will make you question why your other watches aren't.
Then there's the dial and hands, which is honestly the best I've seen under the price range of AP and PP etc. The hands and indices are finished with many facets, including pearly white inlays that make it more readable in lower light.
The case has so many facets, with a nice mix of brushing and hand-finished zaratsu polishing. Handling this, you'll FEEL the hand made aspects. The sides of each bracelet link, same thing, ever so slightly beveled and polished off. Makes other bracelets feel so machined in comparison.
The automatic movement has a 72h power reserve, which really comes in handy. Not to mention SPRON and MEMS technology, and everything down to the lubricants are in-house made by Seiko. They're obsessed with perfection.
$3600 EMT
(These pics always look blurry here, but msg me and I'll text or email more to you)
