This is a day I never thought would come, but up for sale is my prized 88. This watch is polarizing to say the least. Some love it, some hate it, and as they no longer make it, the market has shown this to be one of the modern classic Panerai models.
You can mistake many a Panerai model for another, but an 88 is always an 88.
This watch was purchased after a long flight to Moncton NB, specifically to buy THIS watch.
It was verified at Humbertown Jewellers as authentic at a cost of $169 with a $10,735.00 replacement cost.
It comes with outer black box. Inner correct pearlwood box with Panerai driver, quickchange tool and unused OEM diver strap.
The watch originally came on deployment with wine croc strap which can be provided in place of the green (I prefer to keep the green anyways as it's a pain to find).
Watch has never been polished. I'm not polishing it prior to sale as this watch has stories to tell. What the next owner chooses to do is up to them.
I have pre-v and thumbnail buckles, deployments, and lots of straps. Can work out strap/deployment details with serious buyers
