FS is my Big Block from 1990. This is a hefty chronograph with a beautiful rare "Albino" dial configuration and resembles a modern Rolex Daytona.
From my understanding, the reference 79100s was first introduced in 1989. This is a model from 1990 which was purchased from Meertz World of Time by me earlier this year.
For those that are not familiar, Meertz is well known in the watch community and also has an app that you can download on your iPhone, similar to Davidsw, but oriented toward vintage pieces. You can also read about them on Hodinkee.
The watch has a rare "Albino" dial, which is in reference to the colour combination of the silver and white dials and subdials.
This piece comes with receipt from Meertz, import invoice, travel pouch, and two straps from molequin - a hunter green strap and a pink one, and the stainless steel bracelet.
Service history is unknown, however when I inquired as to whether service was required when I purchased this piece, I was told it was not. The movement is in running condition. The screw down pushers and crown function as they should. The crown and case back are both Rolex stamped.
Priced fairly at $9,150. Please excuse the poor photos, more photos will be added shortly.
Please let me know if you have any questions,
Kal
