FT: 1977-78 Rolex Submariner 1680, comes with a Bufkor inner & outer box, 9315 oyster bracelet and a choice of ghosted Snowflake Insert or Submariner insert, as seen in the below photos. Both inserts have not a pip, but I can include a tritium pip free of charge from my pip collection :
))
( Aging on the ghosted snowflake insert is not natural. I have bought it in that condition. I am assuming it had been bleached to give it a vintage look. The black insert is what came with this watch.)
The bracelet has considerable stretch.
The watch has some signs of wear and tear, expected from an honest watch that is 30 years old and hasn’t undergone some funny business.
Lovely creamy patina on the hands match the hour plots. Tiritium on the dial or hands has NOT been stabilized by the application of some foreign agent. They are all original and are free of damage and are in good condition. The dial itself does not have cracks or chips. The dial has not been painted, or aged artificially.
The watch was serviced this year. It is keeping COSC time. It’s ready to be enjoyed!
Trade value: $16,900.
(Minus $1,200 if you don’t want the bracelet. Minus $300 if you don’t want the box.)
Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Don’t be shy to ask for more pictures.
